This is my favorite time of year to be a float nurse. We all get flown in to our corporate headquarters and do our required skills with our medical director. Since we are all in one place only one time per year we use the time to have a staff meeting, do our annual training on the aircraft, survival, surgical skills and the quarterly intubations. It is truly a treat for us to be together because we are rarely together on duty. I am grateful for these times.

This year instead of rental cars we all piled into a few company vans and coordinated rides to the hotel. One of the wonderful things about this event is that after class we get to go out and have food, drink and fellowship together.

I had an amazing time seeing my friends whom I only get to see 1-2 times per year. We hit up the local restaurants and breweries then on the last day we got to the local Buc-ees for our group photo and snacks.
Another training done. Some great training with some folks and new cools toys coming to a flight team near you! As always the best part is the fellowship with friends and peers. Grateful for these times.
I had to go from training straight to hitch. Where did I go do you think?
Seek adventure and get busy living.
