November has me traveling back to Chinle, AZ. The first few days I was assigned to a crew with a newer flight crew member so I could help with the orientation for a couple days. After that staffing was full so I spent my days doing online education for my advanced credentials and took a day to check out some local sites. I did visit a local swap meet and got lamb with green chilis with fresh chips and some excellent salsa from some local vendors.
My last day I explored Canyon de Chelly.
This park is a National Monument and well worth a visit if you are visiting the nearby 4 corners or Monument Valley. There are ruins in the cliffs left by the Anasazi tribes. The northern part of the canyon has a dark history with areas named Massacre cave and Mummy cave. The photos I took with my iPhone just don’t do justice to the views you will see when traveling in the western states.
Although not too busy with patient transports I enjoyed the time to study and enjoyed exploring north east AZ.
Next assignment is a new state for me. Can you guess where?
Seek adventure and get busy living.
