Northern Nevada – Elko to be exact is a new assignment for me. I was here nearly 2 years ago for a trauma class. To get to this assignment I flew into Salt Lake City then drove west.

Stopped at the Bonneville salt flats where many land speed records have been set. It doesn’t seem like much but as a car guy its awesome to see in person a place where history has been made. I wish photos would do the views justice but it just doesn’t.

The tale of my time in northern Nevada has similarities to my last assignment in Gallup – good food and unexpected weather. I also included a photo of my favorite EMS breakfast – cold pizza and hot coffee.

Had a chance to get some weightlifting in and some practice intubations.

Did a lot of flying at night – again. But the rewards always are greater than the inconvenience. Again I was blessed by the hospitality of the local crews – Jess and Gabe. Steady hitch but not as busy as the last two assignment.
Let me know in the comments – Do you want more reviews and advice on travel gear or stick to the places and people I see and meet?
Seek adventure and get busy living.
