January has me going back to Escanaba, MI. Flight schedules made it so I flew into Green Bay, WI then drove up. Initially there was no snow but as the days clicked by we were graced by all sorts of winter precipitation. The local folks were telling me that its been unseasonably warm for this time of year.
I am more of a tropical type of guy but the snow is beautiful so see.
Call volume is down due to the weather.
I did manage to capture some views of Lake Michigan on a run to Green Bay and back. This was my first chance to fly a patient in a Bell 407.
While the flight volume is slow I did enjoy my time in Michigan getting to know the local folks. The manners people in the Upper Peninsula might give southern hospitality a run for their money. Even the fast food joints and Starbucks had super polite staff.
My next assignment is pending. I’m excited to see what will come.
Next trip is our winter vacation we gifted the family as a Christmas gift. Where will we go?
Seek adventure and get busy living.
