August has me going to a new base for me – Reno, NV.
When I arrived it was late at night and I was exhausted. Off to a good start I got settled into the crew apartments. The accommodations are some of the best I’ve stayed in since working for the company. Nice rooms, gym, pool and hot tubs. The weather was actually quite nice most of the mornings. The rental company gave me a convertible so I indulged in some top down commutes from the apartments to the hangar.

Most of the flights were as the sun was setting. Had some great views of California as the sun would go down in the west.
Got to see some neat buildings that used to house the blimps from WWII and as always I found some good food trucks.

Most the flights were at night making it a tough on sleep and consistent workouts. As always the people are some of the best part of my experience in travel. I got to talk to friends I haven’t seen since new hire academy and some folks with mutual friends from back in Virginia.

I made biscuits and gravy for the crew one afternoon and it was a hit.
Traveling home was a long one. I got home super late in the evening and was exhausted.
The next few months are gonna be a blur.
Seek adventure and get busy living.
