November has me traveling again, this time to South Dakota. The base I worked at is on the Indian Reservation in Rosebud. My first shift day was Thanksgiving Day.
My time there was busy. We flew about 10 patients mostly during the night. It was a busy but fulfilling shift. We visited South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado and Montana.
At the end of my duty time I was able to leave early enough to take some time to swing by Mount Rushmore.
Mount Rushmore is a bucket list location for me. I didn’t have a long time to explore but it was early on a cold Sunday morning. There were less than 10 other people there making it special. It was quiet and peaceful. The size and scale is quite amazing to see in person. There was more to see but I was on a time crunch to make the 40 minute drive back to Rapid City for my fight home. I wish I had more time as there is so much to see but maybe I’ll be back.
Where to next do you think?
Seek adventure and get busy living.
