June’s assignment has me traveling back to Wyoming. I split my time between Riverton and Lander.

This hitch one of my missions was to get my credentials up to fly on helicopters for the company’s vendor. Going back to fly rotor wing was just amazing. I forgot how much I missed it.
My past experience was flying through and around the mountains of Appalachia. These mountains of the west are just breathtaking – both in beauty and because of altitude. Some mountain passes had us over 12,000 ft.
I also did my first pubic relations mission since working with the company. We stopped at a camp in the mountains north of Dubois to talk about landing zone safety and some patient preparation procedures.

After the PR we flew to Cody for an aircraft swap.

In Cody we had lunch then headed back. The views were amazing.

After my 5 days in Riverton I went to Lander. Had some good flights and got to meet up and make tacos with some friends from previous assignments.

My last patient flight took me to the last minute before I had to pack up and get on the road to make my flight home. By the time I got home I had been up nearly 40 hours. Exhausted I was happy to be home but thankful for a good time in WY.

Next month will be a new state. But where? Leave your guess in a comment below.
Seek adventure and get busy living.
