This assignment was great for several reasons – I got to fly at a new base we just opened last month – Pocatello, ID, on a new airframe for me – H130, got to fly with one of my former floats – Becky, got to fly with a current float buddy – Braiden, got to drive through the Tetons and Jackson, WY when I changed bases, and got to fly rotor most of the days on duty.

I drove a lot this this hitch but it was through some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve seen in these United States.

This hitch I also got stuck in Denver overnight after dropping off a patient. This happens to flight crews often enough that we usually keep a bag packed just in case but this was my first time this happened to me in 3.5 years with Guardian.
In Wyoming I covered Worland base and moved to Riverton for the last couple days.

At the end I was in 4 states, 3 different airframes and got to spend the majority of time with friends from the float team which is a special treat. I really enjoyed the change of scenery and variety of aircraft I got to fly on.
Seek adventure and get busy living.
