May has me going back to southern Colorado. It’s been about a year since I was here last. Due to flight schedules, I flew into Denver instead of Colorado Springs as I normally would. This gave me a fun opportunity to take the long way to southern Colorado via the Rockies. It’s late spring or early summer and the views were amazing.

I got to work with great people. One of the great privileges I have as a float is that I get to help mentor and teach new employees. This hitch I spent most of my time helping teach and I loved it. They keep me sharp, I get to teach lessons I have learned and their energy keeps me loving the job.
Many of the flights we took were at night so I don’t have many photos of flights. We did fly some in the daylight but mostly at night.

This time I did only 10 patient flights but most were overnight. Great folks are working at these bases. I enjoyed the energy of the newer folks.
The drive home I just took the path of least resistance – Interstate to the airport. I was exhausted from back to back night flights. I was tired but good tired – like the end of an honest days work tired.
Where to next month?
Seek adventure and get busy living.
