August has me back in Gillette and with Jami. We also have a new nurse with us who is new to flight and will be working in Gillette – Sam.
This hitch is busy again with training and training. Summer storms are all around but we flew around most of them.
This visit was full of fun complications – we had broken medication vials to deal with, broken equipment on the plane to deal with, super sick patients and quickly changing weather to adapt around.

With all the training, paperwork, weather delays and complications I was exhausted at the end of the hitch.
Eager to get home there were delays at Rapid City airport. The ramp staff were understaffed and the guy who scanned my boarding pass was also throwing bags on the plane. I was hoping to make a later connection but in the end I got stuck in Chicago for the night. The flight to Chicago was long – because of the stress of not making my connection but also the other passengers.

I finally got home. A day late but home.
One more shortened hitch next back in Gillette and then Amy and I go on our anniversary trip. I am so ready.
Seek adventure and get busy living.
